This past week I was going over comments on my YouTube channel and stumbled upon this question in the comments.
“Hey Christina, do waist trainers really work? Can you make a video about waist training?”
I was really excited about this question! It seems like everywhere I turn lately someone’s talking about waist training. I’ve seen ladies with cinched waists all over instagram, at the gym, and even walking around the grocery store.
Ladies everywhere seem to be jumping on the waist training bandwagon. But, do waist trainers work? Can a waist trainer really help you get a smaller waistline? Or are they a waste of money?
That’s what today’s episode of CCtv is all about.
In today’s video I cover:
- What waist training is
- How waist training works
- Realistic expectations about waist training
- My easy trick to tone and flatten your abs without a waist trainer
Press play to see me explain. When you’re finished watching, I’d love to hear what you think about waist training.
I’d also like to point out that waist trainers are amazing for posture and back support. That’s why I use one!
Here’s a link to an affordable brand that I’ve personally used and highly recommend if you’re ready to give waist training a try. (it’s the exact same one I bought in black)

A waist trainer doesn’t burn fat… so if you wear one I also recommend following a complete meal plan and training program, too.

I’ve always wondered about this! The entire Kardashian Klan has made me intrigued by this fad & if it even works. My theory was always, “well it might not REALLY work, but it can’t do harm” – but your video showed that there IS a way to ‘harm.’ I still think diet and exercise is the way to go and these other trendy type things are just that…trends. Great video; loved listening to you!
Thank you! I’m so glad you found my video helpful. xo
Thanks for explaining!!!! I always thought that waist trainers were diabolical!!!
They are lol They are great for posture thought and I must say, taking them off and popping out like a busted can of biscuits is so satisfying. 😀
I have used a waist trainer during my weight lost program and I found it shaped my waist and did help me! Very good for posture as well
